Rev. J. Scott Yow, Jr.
Pastor
Pastor J. Scott Yow, Jr. joined the Holly Springs family as senior pastor February 14, 2016. In his own words, "I knew God was calling me back 'home' to serve this great church!" Rev. Yow previously served the Holly Springs family as Youth Pastor nearing 16 years ago. His return is no doubt a return home.
He and his wife Crystal of nearly 21 years, have two children, Meredith Claire and Landon. They currently reside in Broadway, NC.
Rev. Yow's theological studies began at Carolina Bible College in Fayetteville, NC to graduate studies at both Campbell Divinity School and Southeastern Seminary. In addition, he has served in the pastoral ministry of three other churches spanning over two decades.
His summary of ministry is captured in a few simple words:
"I'm just a beggar telling another beggar where to find bread."

Prior to coming here, her jobs in music included teaching public school music (in Elementary, Junior High, and High Schools) in Maryland and North Carolina, directing church choirs in both states for all age groups, and teaching a few private piano lessons. Two verses which speak to her heart and life are Colossians 3, verses 16 and 17:
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” (ESV)
David Oyster

In 1991, he received the Master of Divinity with Languages degree from the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. He believes all church music is both an act of worship and an aid to worship, as Christians offer themselves to God.
